How to Change the placeholder text of Answer Fields in the Google Forms™

Google Forms does not offer to change the placeholder text of the Short / Para Answer type question items, it provides only fixed placeholder text, which is "Your answer". Pretty Forms Designer Add-on provides the option to customize the placeholder text in the any language.

Let’s change the placeholder text of a Answer Field. Please follow the steps below.

1. Install the Pretty Forms Designer Add-on from Google Marketplace. And then Set-up & Open the Form Designer.

2. Select an answer field of the any question, click on the “Placeholder text” button from the top controls bar. You would see the Default text is set to “Your answer”.

3. Change the Placeholder text value to the any text value you want. You would see, the new Placeholder text is immediately changed in the Form Editor.

4. Click the "Save" button to save this form, and check the preview of the currently saved form.
